Meeting Summary
Altoona City Council approved a $3.66 million contract for renovations to Prospect Pool and redirected Community Development Block Grant funding to a new Green Avenue/11th Street Towers sidewalk project.
Council also approved three demolition contracts and a repository bid for property at 810 6th Avenue. A group of additional repository bids submitted by Olupheso Holdings was considered separately and rejected 0–7. During closing comments, Council recognized the Altoona Police Department during National Police Week and thanked residents participating in community cleanup efforts. No public comments were offered at the meeting.
The official minutes also explain an oddity in the property discussion: 806 6th Avenue was removed because the property had not been provided by the County and was not on the initial agenda; Council proceeded only with 810 6th Avenue.
