Altoona City Council heard public comments about recovery housing and proposed housing and parking regulations.
Council approved four demolition contracts, supported a historic-preservation planning grant application for the Jaffa Shrine Center, and approved several other resolutions; a separate repository bid was rejected.
Council also unanimously adopted ordinances addressing off-street parking, Parking Authority enforcement, residential rental inspection definitions and surplus City property. City officials closed the meeting by recognizing City employees, including Public Works, Fire and Police, for their response during severe winter weather.
